PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY INTO STATE EPA COMES TO NEWCASTLE

The Parliamentary Inquiry into the performance of the Environment Protection Authority came to Newcastle today, with a public hearing held.

The inquiry is reviewing controversial monitoring studies that looked at the contribution of coal trains to air pollution in Newcastle.

Shadow Environment Minister Luke Foley took aim at the department.

“Your own scientific advisor , Mr Clapenco, tells you that elevated levels are present.”
