STALEMATE CONTINUES
Student at catholic schools around the region had a late start today, after teachers went on strike for the second time in four months.
The work stoppages centred on the drawn out negotiations for the enterprise agreement.
The Independent Education Union is concerned about plans for unlimited class sizes and new support staff being paid up to $17,000 less.
In a bid to reduce disruption to parents and students, the strike only lasted an hour.
If a resolution can’t be found, the Union hasn’t ruled out further action.
