COFFS JETTY BASHING MURDER TRIAL BEGINS

The 26 year old charged over the bashing murder of Coffs Harbour man, Dennis Burns, has gone on trial.

James Moore is accused of beating the 50 year old with a wooden pole and a hammer outside his home in Collingwood Street in October 2012.

Moore’s lawyer told the court self-defence was a major issue in the case.

The mother of the accused, Michelle Moore, and her partner Brendan Price will face trial next month.
