Hundreds of people gathered today for the Step up for Down Syndrome walk, to raise research funding for and awareness about the condition.
150 families in the Hunter are members of Down Syndrome New South Wales.
“We’re hoping that it lets people in the community see people with Down Syndrome as part of the community.”
It’s hoped the event will generate about $10,000
