A large cloud band stretches across northern New South Wales today producing very little rain inland, but triggering storms on the coast around Coffs Harbour.
This system is now ready to stall over north east New South Wales and more wet weather is on the way, mostly affecting the ranges and the Northern Rivers in the form of showers and storms. Falls elsewhere will be very little.
Onshore winds are delivering relief with the broadcast region becoming cooler in the days ahead.
The trough in the north will clear by the weekend and we may have a better rain event next week.
