Newcastle’s revitalisation program, Renew Newcastle, could soon receive up to $120,000.
The project which supports start-up businesses in vacant retail space, has received a commitment of $90,000 from the Hunter Development Corporation.
Newcastle Council has also provided the organisation with $30,000 over the next three years.
It is a turn around from council which hasn’t committed funding to Renew Newcastle over the past two years due to funding uncertainty from the state government.
The proposal will go on public exhibition for community comment.
