The 26-year-old charged over the bashing murder of Coffs Harbour man, Dennis Burns, has been found guilty.
The trial heard James Moore bashed the 50-year-old with a wooden pole and hammer outside his home in Collingwood Street on October 2012.
Moore will be sentenced in February.
His mother, Michelle Moore, and her partner Brendan Price will face trial over the killing later this week.
