GUNNEDAH BREAK THROUGH

Gunnedah scored its first Connolly Cup win of the summer, downing Moree by 55 runs.

The home side made a poor start, losing two wickets in quick succession.

Captain Ryan Cooper survived an early caught and bowled chance to score a calming 21 runs.

A quick fire 49 from Troy Sands saw Gunnedah post a competitive total, which proved 55 too many.

In Narrabri, Tamworth suffered its first loss of the season after Nick Smart plundered a century on his home track.

While in the Northern Conference, Glen Innes eased past Armidale and Manilla smashed Inverell.
