BANNED CHINESE SWIMMER TRAINING AT PALM BEACH
Chinese Olympic champion Sun Yang is back training on the Gold Coast, despite being told he’s not welcome.
Sun was barred from training in Australia earlier this month after testing positive for a banned substance in May.
It’s understood the 23-year-old has been training in the public lane at Palm Beach Currumbin under former Miami assistant coach Brian Kenney.
Sun’s ban was initially kept under wraps by the Chinese swimming administration, who only issued the Olympic champion with a three month ban.
Chinese officials defended the ban saying they don’t believe Sun intended to cheat.
The world anti-doping association is currently reviewing the case.

How can a banned swimmer get a visa to swim in Australia. What is swimming Queensland doing about this? the coach is Brian King not Kenny
As above – the coach is Brian King. This same coach has dumped his swim squad to train the Chinese National Team and has left behind some very upset and angry swimmers. But I guess the money was worth more hey……
Why isn’t something being done about this? Why is it being kept under wraps? Brian King was sacked from Miami….but Denis Cotterell is his number one supporter. Honestly, any one person with half a brain can figure out Denis will be guiding Brian King. Swimmiing Australia surely must see the connection, or is it they once again don’t want to get their hands dirty and continue to turn a blind eye when it comes to this coach.
You jest? How on bloody earth did he get a job after being sacked? No disclosure that’s why. WTF.
