If you’ve driven past Port Macquarie’s Town Beach recently, you would have noticed an unusual sight.
An eight-metre high slide has been installed as part of council’s Summer Activation Program.
It’s one of many free activities on offer, that also includes beach cricket, art and surfing lessons.
“It’s really about getting our people out to connect with other people, and bring our community together in our local places and doing some fun activities”
It’s estimated more than 400 people are taking part in the free activities every day.
