A drilling crew got a nasty surprise in Newcastle today when their rig cracked through an asphalt car park and fell into an underground void.
A heavy crane was called in to retrieve the machine, at the Blackwoods plant hire yard, off Hannell Street at Wickham.
Thankfully no one was injured.
