It’s hoped Newcastle residents will get a clearer picture about the future of the city’s rail corridor tomorrow.
Planning Minister, Pru Goward, is expected to make an announcement, while in town to address an economic forum.
The state government has been pressing ahead with its plans to open the corridor, since stopping train services into Newcastle on Boxing Day.
While it’s been unable to physically remove the train tracks due to a Supreme Court injunction, it’s lodged an appeal, to be heard next month.
