MAN AND WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN WOY WOY CRASH

A man and a woman suffered serious head injuries in a car crash at Woy Woy last night.

Police say the driver of the Hyundai lost control of the vehicle on Woy Woy Road just before 11pm, crossing to the opposite side of the road and colliding with a four wheel drive.

A 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman in the Hyundai were trapped for a short time before being released.

The man was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, while the woman was taken to Gosford Hospital.

The 54-year-old driver of the four wheel drive escaped uninjured.
