RURAL RESILIENCE PROGRAM LAUNCHED

Farmers in regional New South Wales will have a few more helping hands, following the launch of the state government’s new Rural Resilience program.
Five rural resilience officers have been appointed full time, along with an additional three support workers.
“It’s a way of making people more adaptable and able to cope in very tough situations. Now at any one time we’re always facing the perils of the elements when we live in regional New South Wales…”
While the closest officer to the North West is based in Scone, the employee is expected to travel.
