Nambucca Valley Shire Council has invited all of its residents
to the opening this month of its new dam at Bowraville.
The $56-million facility will be officially opened by Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss at noon on Saturday week.
“We’d like all of our community or as many as possible to come along and enjoy the day and celebrate what’s been a very large investment of time and money on the part of the Nambucca Shire ratepayers and also the state and federal governments,” said Council General Manager Michael Coulter.
Those attending on March 28 are asked to meet at the Bowraville Racecourse for instructions on how to get to the dam.
