DISGRACED MP TO FRONT INQUIRY OVER CONFIDENTIAL LIGHT RAIL DOCUMENTS

Disgraced former Newcastle MP Tim Owen will front a parliamentary inquiry, following claims confidential documents on the city’s light rail route were found in his office.

The ex-Liberal member will give evidence on Monday, alongside sitting Labor MP Tim Crakanthorp who claims to have made the discovery.

It follows revelations, the state government ignored departmental advice on the best proposed route for light rail.
