Former Silverchair frontman, Daniel Johns, has been fined $880 and suspended from driving for 14 weeks after previously pleading guilty to mid-range drink driving.
Johns was sentenced in Newcastle Local Court this morning after being ordered to complete the traffic offenders program.
He later apologised for his actions outside court.
Johns was pulled over by police in Merewether on October 28 last year, where he recorded a mid range blood alcohol reading of .126.
He told police he’d had four large glasses of white wine over three hours.
