A Mayfield East man will face court, accused of impersonating a police office and stealing guns from a home at Clarence Town.
Police say the 28-year-old and a another man impersonated being officers who were executing a search warrant at the East Seaham Road address on October 29 last year.
It’s alleged they stole two revolvers without the owner’s knowledge, which were found the next day by police during an unrelated search at a home in Mayfield East.
The man is facing a string of charges including aggravated break and enter, acquiring a firearm without permit and impersonating a police officer.
Police are still looking for the second man.
