Direct flights from Newcastle to Canberra will re-commence at the end of April, after a 16-month absence.
The service will be operated by Pelican Airlines, under the Fly Pelican brand, and offer two return flights on weekdays and one on Sunday.
Passengers will be able to book seats onboard the BAE Jetstream 32 aircraft from March 15.
The Hunter was left without a Newcastle-Canberra service when Brindabella Airlines went into administration in 2013.
