The third time proved the charm for Hunter basketballer Suzy Batkovic, with her Townsville Fire winning today’s WNBL decider against Bendigo.
Townsville had lost the previous two grand finals to the Spirit, and was down by two today at quarter time.
But Batkovic led a second quarter revival.
She finished with an impressive 22 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.
