Around 200 people were evacuated from Newcastle Airport’s terminal at around four o’clock this afternoon, after the fire alarms activated.
The RAAF’s emergency response team arrived to inspect the airport a short time later.
Thankfully it was a false alarm, but travellers experienced minor delays following the incident.
