SOLAR PROJECT GETS FUNDING BOOST

A renewable energy project owned entirely by the Port Macquarie community
is a step closer to becoming a reality- following a state government grant of almost $50,000 dollars.
The money will help fund an assessment into the feasibility of the project, which will implement solar panels onto publicly owned assets.
“people are quite tuned into renewable energy as being you know a triple bottom line outcome for environment, social and economic value,” Campaigner Steve Lockhart said.
Port Macquarie’s Tafe Campus has been identified as a possible location for the panels.
