Vein Illumination Devices are the latest tool to assist the insertion of medical needles, and Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital is set to receive one.
The instrument will assist in the detection of babies veins, minimising pain from the resulting attempts.
Funding for the device has been made available through the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
