Kieran Loveridge, the man who killed Sydney teenager Thomas Kelly in Kings Cross, is being investigated by police, after allegedly assaulting an inmate at the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre in Kempsey.
He was sentenced for at least 10 years after punching Kelly in the head during a string of attacks, in 2012.
A spokesman for Corrective Services New South Wales says “a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man allegedly assaulted a third inmate aged 31 in a cell. The victim received treatment in Kempsey Hospital for facial injuries before returning to the centre.”
