On the same day as Australia’s big battle against against India at the SCG, a legend of the game stopped in at Tamworth to meet budding cricket stars.
Dennis Lillee stopped by at Calrossy’s William Cowper campus to officially open the new cricket nets.
“If you love cricket as much as I did and do, you should get a lot of pleasure out of these nets, but remember one thing. Work hard in the nets ok, use them well.”
Students had the chance to ask the former international cricketer about his career, before he shared some secrets on the pitch.
