A man has escaped with minor injuries, after jumping from the boot of a moving car during an alleged kidnapping in Maitland.
Police say the 20-year-old was forced into the boot by another man after being assaulted on High Street around 11 o’clock last night.
He was allegedly being driven to Rutherford, when he made his escape.
Officers later arrested a 27-year-old man and charged him with kidnapping and assault.
He’ll face court next week.
