Over 150 golfers have been left disappointed after Armidale’s Easter Open was called off due to wet weather.
The New England recorded more than 100 millimetres of rain throughout Saturday, resulting in the cancellation.
A hardy group of 22 players took the course today, to get in a hit before returning to their homes around the state.
Despite the setback, Armidale Golf Club’s committee will immediately start planning next year’s tournament.
