Newcastle’s summer cruise season has drawn to a close, with the departure today of the Royal Caribbean line’s Rhapsody of the Seas.
The ship has been a regular visitor to the Port, which each year plays host to more than 20,000 cruise passengers.
It was one of several liners forced to navigate a succession of cyclones off the Queensland coast.
Rhapsody is headed for Cairns, then it’s off to the European cruising season.
