The state government says it will safeguard eight jobs that will be lost, when it closes its Roads and Maritime office at Woy Woy.
Employees working at the centre will be given priority to transfer to Gosford’s New South Wales Service Centre, when it’s shut in August.
News the office would close sparked protests in Woy Woy yesterday, with some claiming it will make it harder for older residents to access government services.
