It began in the Hunter back in 1978, so it seems fitting the Australian Four Day Enduro event will return to Cessnock this week for the 40th running.
Top motorbike riders from across the world will be among the more than 350 males and females, taking part in a range of categories.
The entire field will set off tomorrow morning, beginning three days of special tests, following a trail that winds through the Hunter.
The main event takes place on Saturday.
