Students from Jetty High in Coffs Harbour have been given a rare opportunity to help return two rehabilitated turtles to the ocean.
The turtles had been recovering at Dolphin Marine Magic after being found in bad shape a number of months ago.
“It’s really rewarding to be able to nurse them back to good health and send them back out there, give them a second chance because they really need all the help they can get.” Greg Pickering from Dolphin Marine Magic.
The turtles are likely to stay along the Coffs Coast for the next few years, before migrating north.
