Regional blood donation centres are set to play a bigger role in helping the nation meet its growing blood plasma needs.
The Blood Service has announced that donor centres in the region, including Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour, will offer 9,000 additional plasma appointments.
The organisation says the demand for plasma continues to grow.
