SUPERMOTO TRACK TAKING SHAPE AHEAD OF AUSTRALIAN TITLES

Preparations for this weekend’s Australian Supermoto Championships have begun, with the track at Newcastle’s Foreshore Park beginning to take shape.
Four of the past five Australian champions will take part, but there’s been a few changes to the field.
“Paul Caslick, local dirt tracker, he’ll have a crack at it. But we’ve lost Troy Bayliss, he crashed in America a week ago and broke his ankle.”
Currently second in the UK series, Chris Hodgson is looking forward to testing himself on the Aussie track.
“Back in the UK we haven’t got half as much offroad, bit more tame, cater for cars so I’m really looking forward to this.”
Qualifying and race one will be held on Saturday, with races two and three on Sunday.
