CONFIDENCE BOOST FOR NELSON BAY CBD

Port Stephens Council has approved the final component of a multi-million dollar redevelopment of Nelson Bay CBD.
The first stage of the Marina Resort development was approved in June last year, with plans for the final component lodged shortly afterwards.
The plans include 94 apartments, two pools and a 400-seat conference centre on the Magnus Street site.
Cindy Dickson, Council’s Planning and Developer Relations Coordinator, said the development was an important symbol of the status of Nelson Bay,
“This is a good development for the site because the modern feel of the new building will add to the vibrant, tourist centre that we want to promote in Nelson Bay,” she said.
The development is worth around $26-million.
