CHINESE THEME PARK ONE STEP CLOSER

Wyong Council’s Chinese Theme Park is a step closer to reality, with the New South Wales Department of Planning allowing the development to be placed on public exhibition.

While the Department rejected Council’s plans to re-zone the 15.7 hectares of industrial land to a tourist zone, it says the “proposal should proceed.”

Mayor Doug Eaton has described the result as “the first tick of approval” for the project to go ahead.

The plans will go on public exhibition in August.
