Cooks Hill surf club successfully completed its first rescue of the season on Saturday.
The club’s IRB ran into a spot of bother after a rescue this morning, breaking down in the white wash.
But the quick-thinking crew guided the duck safely back to the beach, navigating the shore dump to waiting patrol members.
