HAZLEWOOD MAKES WORLD CUP DEBUT

Tamworth’s Josh Hazlewood will need to up the ante after leaking 30 runs from his first four overs.

“He was just a bit loose in his first spell. His rhythm wasn’t quite there. The ball wasn’t quite coming out his hand right, he didn’t have the control.”

When he came back for his second spell, the fast bowler looked dangerous.

[Notes:10:10]Hazlewood appealed for a caught behind off the gloves of James Taylor, before sending it for an unsuccessful review.

The 24 year old finished with figures of none for 45 off seven, but is expected to be retained for Saturday’s match against Bangladesh.
