ICAC RELEASES FINDINGS ON UNIVERSITY IT MANAGER
The ICAC has found a former university IT manager engaged in corrupt conduct, by authorising false invoices to the tune of $86,000 for work that was never done.
During his employment at three universities between 2006 and 2013 – including the University of Newcastle – the Commission says Brett Roberts issued the invoices to a company called Management and Professional Services, which was owned by his former friend.
Included in its findings, the ICAC says consideration should be given to seeking the advice of the DPP, in relation to prosecuting Mr Roberts for various offences.
