A woman is dead after a car crashed into a power pole at Warners Bay this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to Hillsborough Road near Crockett Street at around 1.30.
A 73-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to John Hunter Hospital but lost her fight for life.
The male driver, aged in his 70s, is in a stable condition.
