Members of the Tamworth Pistol Club will soon be able to enjoy their sport in a safer environment with the complex set to undergo a major safety upgrade.
The club has matched a $16,000 grant from the state government to enhance a number of ranges, which will see the complex qualify to hold a several state competitions.
Another $20,000 grant has also been matched by the club to refurbish the main club house and install lighting and water tanks.
“To be able to provide a first class facility like this with extra funds to continue the upgrade and provide an outlet for those people who like to shoot, whether it is rifles or pistols then we should continue to do that.”
