Merewether’s Jackson Baker suffered the narrowest of losses in the final of the Oz Grom Pro Junior event on the far north coast.
Baker thought he’d done enough in the dying stages of the decider, sitting on 16 point one six.
But Cody Robinson used priority to grab a handy wave in the final minute.
The judges were clearly impressed with the Victorian’s effort, and Robinson went on to claim the title by just point zero four.
