GULAPTIS WANTS CSG BANNED ON NORTH COAST

Clarence Valley MP Chris Gulaptis says he’s disappointed the government has decided not to challenge a Supreme Court decision, overturning Metgasco’s suspension at Bentley.
The Energy Minister had until May 22 to lodge an appeal, but decided it would be costly, and unlikely to succeed.
Metgasco’s Managing Director Peter Henderson says the company will be seeking damages from the state government over the 11 month suspension.
He’s also confirmed the company intends to resume its exploration for gas at the Rosella well.
