A fire has forced the evacuation of 15 people from a factory on the New South Wales Central Coast. Fire fighters arrived at OneSteel in Lisarow at around 10 o’clock and found a fire at its scrap metal yard. The Pacific Highway and rail line have also been closed due to thick smoke in the area.
A Sydney family has been left devastated – after their home – and all their belongings have been destroyed by fire.
A man is under police guard in hospital after being arrested for an alleged home invasion in Sydney’s west last night. Police went to the scene in Luddenham following reports of a naked man terrorising the home owners. A female occupant fled the property and called police, who arrested the man.
And hundreds of tyres have been set alight in another protest by French ferry workers, shutting down the motorway between England and France.
