GREEN THUMBS AT MID COAST SCHOOLS

School books were swapped for gardening gloves at Taree West today, for National Schools Tree Day.

The budding environmentalists helped contribute to more than 1000 seedlings planted across the Mid Coast region.

“It’s really important for young people to appreciate their environment and realise the impact it has on the world around them, the insects, the animals and just making it a nicer place to be in,” Janet Griffith from Taree West Public School said.
