ANDREW JOHNS UNLEASHES ON THE KNIGHTS
Rugby league great Andrew Johns has been scathing of his former club, saying the Newcastle Knights have lost their identity.
The former Knights skipper told Triple M’s Rush Hour program that management needs to “clean the place out”.
“They need someone with a massive big whip to get in there and crack it,” he said.
“The whole place needs to start again. They’ve lost their whole identity.”
Johns’s comments come after the sacking of coach Rick Stone yesterday, following the club’s dismal performance this season.
The Knights have suffered 12 losses from the past 14 matches.
Tune in at 6pm for the full story. We’ll hear from interim coach Danny Buderus and long-time club member, Leigh Maughan about club culture.
