COAST CONNECT DAY DRAWS RECORD CROWD

An initiative aimed at tackling homelessness on the coast has marked its seventh year.
The Coast Connect Day, held at Niagara Park stadium, provides advice for those facing financial hardship, by putting them in touch with more than 60 services that can help.
“It’s just been astonishing, you know? I think we had 1000 come through last year, but honestly, it’s at least 2000 who have come through.”
The event featured plenty of familiar faces with Julie Goodwin running cooking classes, and Brad Fittler with his Hogs 4 Homeless team.
