11-YEAR-OLD GIRL THROUGH TO OPEN WOMEN’S SURFING SEMI-FINAL

An 11-year-old girl from the Sunshine Coast has progressed to the semi-finals

of the Australian Open Women’s Surf Titles being held in Coffs Harbour.

Zahli Kelly out-surfed her older rivals scoring a 7 and a 4.75 in her quarter final heat.

I was just hoping to surf my best and have a go. So how far do you think you can go in this tournament. I don’t really mind as long as I surf my best.

The semi-finals of the women’s event will be surfed tomorrow, with the titles finishing with the longboards on the weekend.
