The 10-year-old boy, who was struck by a car while playing with friends on the Central Coast, has passed away.
Banjo Pilon was hit on Monday at Wamberal and airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a critical condition. He lost his fight for life yesterday afternoon.
His mother Jilly has taken to social media, writing an emotional tribute to her “little hero”.
In a Facebook post she said, “Hey Banj, what a special little man you are and always will be mate.”
“You have put up the greatest fight these last two days our angel.”
“So proud of you and how strong you’ve been.”
“We now savour every last minute with you our little hero before you are taken to donate your organs tonight to other sick little children and give them your special gift of life.”
