Footage has surfaced of an ocean rescue, south of Newcastle,
where a group of four rock fishers were plucked to safety after being stranded by the rising tide.
A Marine Rescue jetski picked its way through a choppy passage off Swansea yesterday afternoon, that only a short time earlier had been passable.
One by one, the group was transferred to a waiting boat.
Marine Rescue urges people who are going rock fishing to be aware of their surroundings and to carry safety equipment.
The rescue came around the same time a woman was swept to her death off rocks, in a freak accident in Sydney.
