The Louisiana State University team has completed its final training session at home, before flying to Australia tomorrow to play a series of exhibition games.
Former Hunters junior Ben Simmons will be the headline act when LSU faces a Newcastle All Stars team on Saturday night at Broadmeadow.
Despite standing 6 foot 10 on the old scale, Simmons could end up playing several positions, including guard, thanks to his skill with the ball.
His teammates are looking forward to other parts of the trip.
“We’re going to take in one of their so called football games, what they would call their NFL, I know some of the kids are excited about hopefully seeing kangaroos and the great beaches and stuff that they have over there.”
